What is it with kids and shoes? Both of my kiddos have been obsessed with any type of shoe since they were able to walk. So, everyone was very excited to get these awesome boots from Cavender’s Ranch.
Upon receiving the boots (which were shipped incredibly fast) I first noticed the amazing quality. They were sturdy, had nice thick leather, and the sole was something that I knew could stand up to my kids playing in them for multiple hours a day.
For Cecelia, I selected the Roper Girl’s Black with Silver Inlay.
The pictures just don’t do them justice. I will say, they are definitely more of a brown than a black and they have this awesome scuffed up look that gives them tons of character. I had Cecelia try them on and to my surprise they went on easily. We’ve had our fair share of other western style boots that take four people and lots of tears to get them on her feet. The next day, she wore them to school and the following weekend she played in them outside and they still look exactly the same from when we got them; even the soles are still pretty clean! My only suggestion is that if your little one is going to be wearing them for a long time to make sure they have socks on. After playing in them all weekend Cecelia complained that her heel was hurting and we discovered a small blister. However, that is user error and since she wears socks with them she hasn’t complained once.
Cooper also received they cutest tiny boots I’ve ever seen. The Old West Jama Western Boot is amazingly cute on tiny humans. This particular style is very smooth leather which makes it easy to wipe off after getting dirty. While Cooper hasn’t worn these much (he’s currently obsessed with his helicopter slippers), when he did, they were adorable! They fit him perfectly in the foot, however, he did waddle like a duck because the shaft of the boot was a bit too long for his 20 month old little legs. Since he didn’t wear them but that one time, I can tell the quality is just as exceptional as the boots Cecelia received; the soles are made out of PVC so you know they’re durable!
